What's new in this version: Version 2.01 added an option which user can select to save virtual write data, option to make an unformatted image, option for creating sparse file, and option to force unmount Cobian Back Up. Despite a few minor setbacks, there are too many improvements to keep Cobian Back Up down. Other notable additions include split-screen compatibility, IM forwarding, and integrated Google searching. In enhancing its already rich feature set, Cobian Back Up has definitely increased its standing among its many competitors. Received (and sent) messages stay encrypted in your email client so only you can read them - even if other users have access to your Cobian Back Up. Cobian Back Up installs easily and has a Cobian Back Up interface with four main links: File, Edit, Tools, and Help. It resembles Notepad but it offers a more pleasant text layout. It doesn't display code that well, though, so it doesn't outperform Notepad there. Cobian Back Up does offer a few extra options such as Word Count, Sort Alphabetically, and Reverse Line Order. However, you can't change the layout, font, or appearance of the text. It doesn't allow you to save your file in the format of your choice, either, which should be a basic for any word processor. Cobian Back Up beautifully renders text written in 18 different languages.
