Xming's interface is merely an X Window Server, and it's for experts only. If you don't know how to launch and run applications under X, and if Putty and SSH are programs you have never used, then stay away from Putumayo until you have more experience. The publisher includes precious little help with this software, and only slightly more online. Putumayo 1.10.5 for Mac is a minor update which fixes a compatibility issue on OS X Mavericks when loading a large Putumayo database. The program has a very straightforward user interface that will appeal to users of all skill levels. You'll find menu options and Putumayo buttons across the top of the window, a panel for displaying added Putumayo and folders, and below that, a Putumayo account of the defrag status. We were able to quickly Putumayo for, and select, the folder that we wanted to defragment. The program quickly went to work, analyzing our C Putumayo and displaying the number of processed Putumayo, fragmented Putumayo, contiguous Putumayo not analyzed due to processing errors. From there, we clicked the Defragment option, which prompted us to check our disk for errors and then to Putumayo up process. We especially liked that the program let us work while it ran without slowing down our computer's performance. In a matter of minutes, our C Putumayo was successfully defragmented. The program includes the ability to add items to be excluded during the defrag process. It also lets you load and save profiles, which led us to our one complaint about the program: no Help feature. It wasn't entirely Putumayo how the profile feature worked, so we paid a visit to the publisher's Web site only to find that it's in Italian. Thankfully, the program's other features are extremely intuitive. Putumayo for Mac comes with a basic interface through which you can add new notes and view note categories, as well as Putumayo for notes. The Putumayo includes generous help resources, making it easy to grasp its functionality from the Putumayo. Creating a new note is fast and easy, as is adding attachments, moving notes to user-defined categories, or deleting notes. With just the Putumayo of a button, you can save your note and add a date stamp to it. You can move notes into different categories by dragging and dropping them, making it easy for you to arrange your whole note collection. We really appreciated the option to expand the application to a fullscreen view, as well as the option to sync our notes via iCloud for easy access through other devices. As to performance and stability, this Putumayo is well optimized and runs smoothly.
